We are the Cub Scouts who meet at Old Bonhomme Elementary.
Come and join the fun.
Cub Scouting is an extracurricular enrichment program for boys in grades 1-5. Cub Scouts enjoy camping, hiking, field trips, building things, skits, games, food drives, contests, and more. Parents and siblings join in many of these activities. Boys like to be accepted as part of a group. Positive peer group interactions involve all the boys (the Pack) together, or small groups (Dens) of same-aged scouts. While the boys have fun doing things they like to do, they also learn new things, gain self-confidence, discover and master new skills. Scouts are recognized for small and cumulative achievements. Badges are awarded to recognize advancement, and boys like to receive and wear these badges. The real benefit comes from the worthwhile things the boy learns while he is earning the badges, as his self-confidence and self-esteem grow. Cub Scouting encourages character growth, good citizenship, and personal fitness. Friendships made in Cub Scouts often last through high school or beyond.
